As part of this report they are collecting input from educators, parents and the community. Health Services Announcements 6th Grade immunization (Tdap) clinics are comingDuring the week of April 22, 2013, Nurses from the Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department and Laramie County School District1 are sponsoring immunization clinics for 6th grade students. These clinics will be offering Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) for students at school. Tdap vaccine is required for all entering 7th grade students in order to be in compliance with Wyoming’s school immunization law. No student will be denied the vaccine(s), but a small donation of $10 for each shot will be accepted to help defray the cost of the service by the Health Department. Please make checks out to: Laramie County Treasurer. For your student to receive these vaccines at school, PARENTS MUST REVIEW THE FORMS SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL, ANSWER ALL QUESTONS ABOUT YOUR STUDENT AND SIGN PERMISSION. PLEASE SEE THE DEADLINES ON THE FORMS WHICH WILL BE SENT HOME. STUDENTS CANNOT RECEIVE THE IMMUNIZATION WITHOUT COMPLETED PAPERWORK. Tdap Immunization Clinics for 6th Grade Students Spring 2013

Immunization Requirements for School AttendanceMandatory Immunizations for Children Attending Schools –W.S. 21-4-309
“(a) These regulations shall apply to all pupils attending, full or part time, any public or private school or child caring facility. (b) No School Administrator or Child Caring Facility Administrator shall retain any pupil thirty (30) days after entry without official written documented proof of immunization according to the schedule published by the State Health Officer except when there are exemptions as noted in these regulations. Pupils who are exempt from immunizations shall remain in school during an appeal process unless there is a vaccine-preventable disease outbreak as defined by Section 5(c) of this Chapter. “ Wyoming Immunization Requirements
